Our homes were named for historic, famous estates. The 55-room, fairytale-like Camelot” near Camden, New South Wales, Australia was reportedly built with the winnings from a racehorse which won the Melbourne Cup in 1877. It is constructed from brick and has a romantic silhouette of turrets, chimney stacks, gables, arched verandas and projecting bays. Camelot also has a fine brick stable with arched wooden ribbing, a brick smokehouse, and an octagonal aviary.

The Camelot House stands as a remarkable testament to the architectural elegance of its era. Nestled amidst the picturesque countryside, this historic residence exudes the charm of a bygone era. Constructed in the late 19th century, Camelot House boasts a distinctive architectural style that reflects the opulence and sophistication of the Victorian era. Its grand façade features intricate detailing, including ornate moldings, decorative cornices, and elegant balustrades, all meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of grandeur and refinement.

One of the most striking features of Camelot House is its sprawling verandas, which wrap around the perimeter of the building, offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. These verandas not only provide a tranquil retreat for residents but also serve as a gathering space for socializing and entertaining, further enriching the sense of community that permeates the estate.

Inside, the interior of Camelot House is equally impressive, with spacious rooms adorned with exquisite furnishings and period décor. High ceilings, elaborate chandeliers, and intricately carved woodwork contribute to the house’s stately ambiance, while large windows flood the rooms with natural light, creating an inviting and airy atmosphere.

Over the years, Camelot House has undergone careful preservation efforts to ensure that its architectural integrity remains intact. Today, it stands as a cherished landmark, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich history and heritage of the region, while continuing to inspire admiration for its timeless beauty and craftsmanship.
